A Holy Ghost Filled, Non Denominational Church

 Jeremiah 6:16 NLT

16     This is what the Lord Says:

"Stop at the crossroads and look around.  Ask for the old godly way, and walk in it.  Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls..."

Member of the Month/Sister Barbara Watson

Sister Barbara Watson is The Cathedral at the Crossroads Member of the Month. She has been a member since 2004, since she rededicated herself to the Lord and was baptized by Rev. Bland. As a child she attended Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church and later she attended St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She has been happily married to Brother Earl Watson for over 40 years, and they have 1 son, David.

Almost immediately after joining the Cathedral, Sister Watson joined the Usher Board, and what an extraordinary usher she is! Not only does she meet, greet, and seat members and visitors inside the Church walls with warmth and cordiality, but her service as an usher is a true gift that extends beyond the walls of the Church. Whenever the Cathedral has a Church sponsored activity or dinner, she, by her own initiative, and not officially serving as an usher, makes sure everyone in attendance has everything they need to make the event or dinner a success. “Can I get you a plate, Mother…?”, or “May I take your coat brother…?”  These are all phrases that all the members are accustomed to hearing from Sister Watson. God has truly blessed her with a servant’s heart and we truly appreciate her zeal to serve!!!!!!! On a lighter note, besides being a great servant, Sister Watson has a quick wit, and can easily match Pastor Bland’s quick wit, with zingers of her own (though he would probably argue with that, LOL).

Sister Watson has been a successful and heralded preschool teacher for many years, and she says, “I use my spirituality to nurture my students and to help instill into them, the good values and morals that were instilled into me”. In regards to her walk with the Lord, Sister Watson stated, “Through all of my accomplishments, I am still a child of God, saved, sanctified, and filled with the precious Holy Ghost!
