A Holy Ghost Filled, Non Denominational Church

 Jeremiah 6:16 NLT

16     This is what the Lord Says:

Member of the Month/Rev. Carol Scott

Rev. Carol Scott, or as we at the Cathedral affectionately call her, Rev. Mother Carol Scott, is this month’s Cathedral at the Crossroads Member of the Month. Besides her distinguished service at the Cathedral since 1987, Rev. Scott has also had a distinguished, vibrant, and jubilant walk with the Lord since 1953, when she was baptized. Ordained in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1983, Rev. Scott has served in various ministerial positions throughout the Tulsa and St. Louis communities since then.

As alluded to earlier, Rev. Scott was baptized with water in 1953, at the age of 12, at West End Baptist Church in St. Louis, and later received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1960 while attending a revival in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While Rev. Scott received her early Christian nurturing and grooming at West End Baptist Church, and at New Northside Baptist Church, both in St. Louis, she definitely had a passion for both the St. Louis and Tulsa communities, since she had significant religious experiences in both cities. After much prayer, The Holy Spirit ultimately led Rev. Scott to move to Tulsa in 1981 to pursue her zeal for learning more about the Lord. While in Tulsa she attended Rehema Bible School and Oral Roberts University, and was eventually ordained as a minister in Tulsa, at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church, in 1983. After distinguished service in Tulsa, and again after much prayer, Rev. Scott returned to the St. Louis area in 1984, and in 1987 she joined The Cathedral at the Crossroads Church as an Assistant Pastor, under the headship of Pastor James Drysdale. Since 1987, Rev. Mother Carol Scott has served in various ministerial capacities at The Cathedral at the Crossroads, from Interim Pastor (after Pastor Drysdale’s retirement), to presently serving as Assistant Pastor to Rev. Erick Bland, the current Pastor.

We, her Cathedral church family, love her for her extremely warm and loving personality and for her many inspired and profound sermons throughout the years, and also for her wise counsel given as one of the Church’s permanent Board Members. Her immediate family, of course, would say that they love her even more than we the members do (if that’s possible, lol). Besides Rev. Scott’s many “adopted” congregants as sons and daughters, she has one natural daughter, Grace Fant, and 2 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Some of her family lives in Seattle, Washington, but her family members who live in St. Louis attend the Cathedral on a regular basis.

Rev. Mother Carol Scott states that she wants her legacy to simply be, “That she loved the Lord!”
